Sebastian Saissi advises and represents clients comprehensively in intellectual property law. His main activities include primarily the trademark and design law and related contractual and procedural matters, including strategic consulting and litigation.
Due to his longstanding experience in advising and representing clients before the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Federal Administrative Court he has proven expertise in Swiss Intellectual Property. In addition, he has worldwide practical experience in over 50 jurisdictions where he collaborates regularly with local associates.
Sebastian Saissi has been working as a lawyer in Switzerland since 2008. He is a member of the Bar Association of Berlin, Germany, and has completed a post-graduate study course at the Jean Monnet Chair of Dresden Technical University in the field of European economic and competition law as well as in intellectual property law in the European context, for which he obtained the Master of Law (LL.M.). His studies in law were carried out at the universities of Kiel, Paris and Berlin.
Prior to the founding of freigutpartners Sebastian Saissi worked for two notable law firms in Zurich, both of which specialise in intellectual property law. Moreover, in his last job he was head of the trademark and design department.
